Carlo Ancelotti has “given up” on the Brazil star due to disciplinary concerns, and Vinicius Jr. will not comply with directives at Real Madrid.
Sport claims Ancelotti is upset because Vinicius refuses to listen to his advise to keep his cool on the pitch and stay composed even when things don’t go his way.
The attacker, who has been protesting the decisions of the referee in La Liga 2024–25, has already received three yellow cards in just seven matches.
Even in the most recent triumph over Alaves, Vinicius received a yellow card for protesting in the 29th minute.
Luka Modric was given a warning for disobedience during that same match against Alaves, which was a significant departure from his typically impeccable behaviour.
Ancelotti is concerned about this team conduct because he has always placed a strong focus on professionalism and discipline.
The issue has gotten so bad that Real Madrid players have already received nine yellow cards for disobedience this season alone.
Ancelotti, who has previously backed the young Brazilian, is apparently at his wits end.
He supposedly sought personal meetings with the player to address the matter, but despite these efforts, Vinicius appears uninterested in changing his ways, protesting during matches and risking further disciplinary action.
“Regulation has changed and we have to get used to this,” Ancelotti stated at a press conference held after the Alaves game.
It is said that his teammates are also sick of him and his ways. Real Madrid engaged a psychologist to work with him since they had long been concerned about this quality.
Nevertheless, those efforts have not been successful because the athlete still provokes others in uncomfortable circumstances.
