FC Barcelona is interested in signing Juventus outcast Federico Chiesa and has contacted the Italian’s representation.
Following Thiago Motta’s recent comments, the 26-year-old Chiesa is expected to leave the club.
Federico Chiesa has one year remaining on his contract at the Allianz Stadium.
The new Juventus manager told Italian media ahead of a 2-2 preseason friendly tie against Stade Brestois in early August that Chiesa was out for transfer considerations, just like the other players who were left behind save for the injured Fabio Miretti.
We’ve been very clear with them: they should look for other possibilities where they can play more because they are talented.
It’s already decided for Chiesa and the others.
Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani is now in talks with Barcelona about the possible parameters of a deal, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Spanish powerhouses are considering Chiesa as a potential left winger for the Blaugrana, who are in need of a replacement after failing to sign Athletic Club star Nico Williams.
Chelsea has also been linked to Chiesa; in fact, it has been stated that they attempted to get the Italy international by trading Raheem Sterling for Chiesa.
While a swap deal is improbable due to differences in each player’s valuation, Juventus remains interested in the Chelsea player and may explore a transfer if they can sell Chiesa.
With Barcelona now interested in the Italy international, Chelsea may be able to offload Sterling to Turin.
It comes after Mundo Deportivo reported that AC Milan superstar Rafael Leao is on Barcelona’s radar.
With Barcelona showing interest in the Italian international, Chelsea may be able to shift Sterling to Turin.
The Portuguese international has been linked with both Arsenal and Chelsea.
