Paul Pogba’s suspension has been shortened to 18 months, paving the path for a March comeback. He can resume training with Juventus in January.

Paul Pogba has broken his silence following the reduction of his four-year football doping penalty.

Pogba’s four-year sentence was reduced to 18 months following an appeal, allowing him to return to play in March.

The former Manchester United midfielder went to social media shortly after Mail Sport reported the news, sharing a cryptic post that seemed to reference the development.

Pogba took to his X (previously Twitter) account and tweeted a sand timer emoji beside a photo of himself in football boots, implying that time is running out before he can play again.

His return date has been set for approximately five months after the ban was first issued in September 2023; he can resume training in January.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport’s final decision established that Pogba had mistakenly taken DHEA, a testosterone-boosting chemical on WADA’s forbidden list.

Pogba’s appeal was heard at CAS headquarters in Switzerland at the end of August, and the player was just recently told of the decision.

The former Manchester United midfielder was suspended after appearing for Juventus in their first game of the 2023-24 season against Udinese on August 20.

Mail Sport discovered in May that Pogba’s continued quest to clear his name is centred on an American facility, 10X Health Systems, which is mentioned in the midfielder’s appeal files.

It is understood that the word 10X Health Systems appears on the label of at least one of Pogba’s prescription bottles.

Pogba later issued a statement in which he expressed his joy at the end of “the nightmare;.

Finally, the nightmare is gone.

‘Following the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s judgement, I can look forward to the day when I can pursue my aspirations again.
