Manchester United put up for sale almost all the squad as they look to refresh the team under new co-owner.
Manchester United spent about £1bn assembling their current squad, but have endured a disappointing season under Erik ten Hag.
Man U most recent accounts show a total wage bill of £331m. An average weekly wage for its players of £154,000, being the fourth highest behind Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City.
Given they will miss out on Champions League football next year, they will need to maximise player sales in order to spend.
Is Rashford the most valuable Player in United?
Marcus Rashford; 26 reached a career high of £73m in December 2021, his market value has been steadily decreasing since then. Around March of last year, its market value did jump back to £68m, but because of bad performances his value drop to stand at £51m.
Antony; 24 have a market value of £30m prior to his 95m euros move to Manchester United. The club have over paid (£81.3m) for the Brazilian winger. The player’s market value was adjusted to £64m following the move, but his performance had been consistently poor.
Bruno Fernandes; The Portuguese midfielder 29 remains one of the few consistent stars in Man Utd. This is why currently he is the most valuable player at £60m. Fernandes market value has begun to fall downward from £77. Should the midfielder demand a move from Old Trafford, unlikely for any club to pay more than £60m this summer.”
Andre Onana; 28 signed for 55m euros (£47.5m) at the time. He had a difficult start to life at Manchester United. Onana is the second most valuable shot-stopper in the world, although £34m seem quite low for a goalkeeper. No club has spent more than 50m euros (£43m) on a goal keeper since 2018.
